METHOD FOR PREVENTING AND TREATING DIABETES MELLITUS BY BLUE LIGHT SPECTRUM AS PART OF INTEGRATED THERAPY

FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: method refers to medicine, namely preventing and treating diabetes mellitus by the exposure to blue light spectrum as a part of an integrated therapy. In skin damage free cases, it is the whole body that is exposed to a hydromassage and light exposure apparatus placed at 3-5 cm from skin; the apparatus is equipped with monochromatic blue spectrum emitters at wave lengths 440-470 nm. Power density is 50-300×10^-3 Wt/cm² with resonant frequency 50 Hz; the exposure is conducted for 10-12 minutes daily in the morning and in the evening. Observing skin damages requires applying a phototherapeutic apparatus with monochromatic blue spectrum emitters at wave lengths 440-470 nm at power density min. 300×10^-3 Wr/cm² and resonant frequency 50 Hz which generate the light to be directed on the belly area.
