FIELD: process engineering.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ore suspension separation at dressing and metallurgical works. Proposed hydrocyclone comprises tapered cylinder casing with intake chamber, drain branch pipe, sand bed to be integrated with other sand beds of other hydrocyclones and/or to allow return of separated off-grade large lumps to re-crushing. Hydrocyclone is composed of cylindrical and tapered sections and provided with inner lining of wear proof material.
