The apparatus (1) has a switching element (10) actuated with a push button (11) and deflecting arrangements (12, 16, 17) for a pulling element (2). A portion (14) of the pulling element is guided over the push button such that pressure is caused on the push button by pulling at a free end of the pulling element by the portion for actuating the switching element. The deflecting arrangements have deflecting attachment (15) forming an attachment point adjacent to a side of the push button for a fixed end of the pulling element.
