The cooker has an induction coil (1) arranged under elongated induction fields for retaining an elongated fish pan (4). The coil is provided with straight conductor portions and reciprocal ends and comprises the form of zero, rectangle or oval on a winding plane. The coil is longer than the fish pan. The coil plane in the prolonged direction of the coil includes an acute angle with an upper surface of an induction cooking plate (2) such that effective heating power in the bottom of the fish pan is variable by horizontal displacing of the fish pan on the induction cooking plate.
