Process for the separation of uranium species in the form of uranyl complexes from water, characterized in that the water to be treated with the uranium species flows through a weakly basic anion exchanger based on polyacrylamide in free base form to reduce its concentration of uranium species, the uranyl complexes being adsorbed on the anion exchanger.
