Torque spanner for driving workpiece i.e. screw nut, has gravity sensor sensing tilt angle of spanner body, where processor is programmed to correct rotational angle value according to tilt angle of spanner body
The spanner (100) has a spanner body for providing torque to a workpiece. A torque sensor senses whether the torque is greater than a predetermined torque value. An angle sensor obtains a rotational angle value by measuring rotation of the spanner body after the torque is greater than the predetermined torque value. A gravity sensor senses a tilt angle (beta) of the spanner body. A processor is programmed to correct the rotational angle value according to the tilt angle of the spanner body. A display unit displays the corrected rotational angle value. The gravity sensor is a LIS202DI gravity sensor. The angle sensor is a gyroscope chip. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining a rotational angle of a torque spanner.
