The unit has a fluid communication element (20) i.e. drainage hose, partially arranged in a fluid collecting element (10) and connected to the fluid collecting element in a fluid conducting manner. The fluid collecting element comprises a channel for guiding a guide element (3) i.e. guide wire, and a supply element through the fluid collecting element. The supply element is designed as a probe unit (4) or an endoscope, and two holes are formed on opposite surfaces of the collecting element. The fluid communication element communicates with an electrical vacuum pump. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for introducing a vacuum sponge system in a human or animal body (2) a method for manufacturing a vacuum sponge unit.
