Pneumatic tire for passenger car, has main grooves narrowed at respective opening locations of auxiliary grooves according to nozzle operating principle, where mutual arrangement of grooves defines specific drainage direction in tread
The tire has a tread provided with profile elements such as profile blocks (1, 2) or profile ribs, which are separated from each other and structured by main- and auxiliary grooves (3, 4). The auxiliary grooves exhibit smaller width than that of the main grooves. A mutual arrangement of the grooves defines a specific drainage direction in the tread. The main grooves are narrowed at respective opening locations (4a) of the auxiliary grooves according to an operating principle of a venturi nozzle. The auxiliary grooves limiting the main grooves lay opposite to the opening locations.
