The circuit configuration has several chargers (2-1-2-n) that are assigned to respective single cells (1-1-1-n) arranged in energy storage unit (1). The charging process of cells of energy storage unit is performed using balancing currents by chargers, with smaller load. Each charger is provided with direct current converters (3-1-3-n) and control units (5-1-5-n) for controlling the charging process of cells. An independent claim is included for method for inputting different states of charge of cells of energy storage unit.
