The apparatus has an interchangeable sodium chloride (NaCl) reservoir (1) connected to an electrolytic cell (5), and a foot switch (16) for controlling in and out of water with respect to a water container (15) by a metering pump (4). The electrolysis cell is activated by simultaneously turning on the water-bearing units, based on the electronically metered and cycle-dependent supply of NaCl solution. A direct connection between the electrolytic cell and the water-bearing units is formed such that the electrolysis cell is directly operated in connection with the power devices.
