The method involves guiding solar radiation (12) to a common receiver (13), and producing mist (22) in an optical path before the receiver by an atomizing device (21), where the mist disperses and/or absorbs the solar radiation. The solar radiation coming from mirrors (11) are absorbed by the receiver, where the receiver is arranged in a tower (15). Compressed external air is produced as propulsion gas for absorption or dispersion medium by a compressor, and the mist is produced when the solar radiation is released. An independent claim is also included for a solar energy converter comprising a receiver.
