The method involves determining parameters (30), where the parameters indicate operation of a vehicle and comprise an operating mode of an engine of the vehicle and speed of the vehicle. An electrical signal i.e. permanent electrical signal, is sent to a locking device (40), and the electrical signal is characterized by the determined parameters for operation of the vehicle. Doors are automatically unlocked (70) when receiving of the electric signal is discontinued at the locking device. An energy storage device i.e. battery, is arranged in a region of the doors. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle including doors.
