The tapered roller bearing (1) has an outer ring (20) with a conical track (12) and an inner ring (30) with another conical track (11). An outer ring circumference in the area of a base diameter of each tapered roller (10) and the outer ring circumference in the area of a tip diameter of each tapered roller are smaller than the sum of the base diameter and the tip diameter of the tapered roller arranged on the tracks. An independent claim is also included for a manufacturing method for a tapered roller bearing.
