The method involves performing (103) spatially resolved automatic determination of property values which are suitable to serve as indicator for precision of segmentation of structure of medical image data. The spatially resolved automatic determination of confidence values for several positions on segmentation contour is performed (104) using determined property values indented for respective positions.
