The shaft i.e. hollow cam shaft (1), has an oil separation device (11) e.g. common worm gear body (2), integrated in a hollow shaft section, where pressure (P1) lies at an output side (5) of the worm gear body and another pressure (P2) lies at an input side (4) of the worm gear body. The worm gear body is connected with the hollow shaft section in a torque-proof manner. A shut-off valve (6) e.g. inner pin, opens or closes the worm gears (3b, 3c) of the body at the input side based on a pressure difference between the former and the latter pressures.
