The method involves arranging a rotor body (8) and an impeller (12) in a shaft (11), and mounting a flange (10) in the shaft in a torque-proof manner or forming the flange as a single-piece with the shaft. The impeller is molded to the flange and the shaft during an injection molding process, and the rotor body is inserted into the manufactured impeller in a play-fit manner or snug-fit manner. The rotor body is connected with the flange or the shaft such that force flows from the rotor body to the impeller over the shaft or the flange. An independent claim is also included for a fan wheel comprising a shaft.
