The machine (1) has a rotatable transportation platform (5) e.g. round turntable, for transporting food (2) to a station (S1) in the machine, where the platform comprises holding members. An oven (6) and/or an infrared grille are arranged at the station, and a reservoir (8) stores the food. A gripping tool (9) transports the food from the reservoir on the rotatable transportation platform, where the reservoir is rotatably supported. The reservoir has a transport mechanism (13) for transportation of the food toward the transportation platform. An identification device identifies the food. The identification device comprises a bar code reader. The identification device reads a transponder e.g. radio frequency identification chip, on the food.
