The motor (1) has a rotor (2) provided with a coil (20). Electrical external connexions pass current into the coil of a rotor from outside of the motor. A motor case (13) is provided with a stator and a rotor. A short circuit brake is degraded by the rotor to be stored energy within the motor case while providing a coasting. The short circuit brake is used to incorporate a diode (30) i.e. surface mounted device (SMD), and electrical terminals are connected with the external connexions. Brushes (5) transfer current to the coil of the rotor and the external connexions.
