The underlay has a flat absorption body (100) comprising a material portion made of absorbent material (101) with hydroactive polymers. A fluid-carrying three-dimensional surface structure is formed by longitudinal recesses and projections that are settled in a form of narrow channels (102) and channels (103). A liquid-permeable lamination is made on a side of the underlay. The lamination is made of polyolefin material e.g. non-woven material, and connected with the absorption body by thermal process.
