The valve (1) has a housing (3) forming a stepped bore and including a housing wall that is precisely machined. A stepped piston (15) is displaceably arranged in the stepped bore, where a portion of the stepped piston has a control groove (16) with reduced outer diameter. A borehole forming a stage of large diameter is formed with the precisely machined wall in the valve housing. A cylindrical surface of a socket is firmly inserted into the wall around a part of length of the borehole. An inner borehole of the wall forms another stage of small diameter.
