The device has a pivotable component (1) comprising a mass body i.e. planar pendulum (3), for preventing unwanted movement of the pivotable component. The mass body exhibits a bearing device in such a manner that a moving plane of the mass body forms an oblique angle with a vehicle door plane, so that tangential and radial forces occurring on the mass body mass while moving a vehicle door (2). The mass body is operatively connected with a locking unit (7) for deflection of the mass body, where the locking unit blocks movement of the pivotable component.
