The channel (1) has an adjustable wall portion comprising an arrangement of slats (2) that is fixed in a floating bearing (5). The floating bearing is adjusted relative to a fixed wall portion (4) of the flow channel. The floating bearing of the slats is adjusted under elastic deformation of the slats in radial direction (R) to extent and/or axial directions, of the flow channel relative to the fixed wall portion. The floating bearing is arranged in upstream or downstream of a fixed bearing (3A). The slats are made of steel and/or fiber-reinforced plastic.
