The contact pin (1) has a mold element provided in a plug bridge region for inclusion of axial forces, where the contact pin is insertable into a contact opening of a socket for electrical contact with a contact region (3) in an axial direction (A) and partly embraceable in the plug bridge region by a plug bridge (2) in a circumferential direction (U). The mold element is limited at a side surface in the circumferential direction by deviating from the axial direction, and the contact pin is made of an electrical conductive metal and/or an electrical-conductive metal alloy i.e. brass.
