The body (9) has a coil-shaped antenna (2) with strip lines (6) embedded in the body. One of the lines is designed as a bulge (16) in area by area. A part of the bulge is arranged in a preset spatial region of the body, where the region is provided as a block shaped opening (11) for receiving a chip module (13). The opening is formed by an abrasive process e.g. milling process. The bulge on a side of the lines forms an elevation and on another side of the lines forms a recess relative to the elevation. An electrical conductive material is provided in the recess. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a smart card.
