The device (1) has a unit for producing gaseous carrier medium and another unit (3) for partial transfer of a sterilization medium in a gaseous condition. A unit for bringing the sterilization medium is arranged in the carrier medium of a centrifugal separator (2). The sterilization medium is peroxide, for example hydrogen peroxide or peroxy acetic acid. The carrier medium is gaseous and is selected from a group, which has air, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, oxygen, noble gases and water vapor or combinations of it.
