The rotor has a rotor blade (1) connected with a rotor hub, and slats (2) arranged at the rotor blade. The slats and the rotor blade are connected together by a slat angle adjustment unit (6) for adjusting an angle between the slats and the rotor blade. The slat angle adjustment unit comprises a rotation axis parallel to a longitudinal axis of the rotor blade. The slats comprise smaller profile depth than that of the associated rotor blade. The slat angle adjustment unit comprises a rotational sliding joint and two travel sensors, which are attached to the sliding joint. An independent claim is also included for a method for continuous adaptation of a rotor of a wind power plant to changing wind speeds.
