The assembly (10) has a base part (3) arranged at a distance to an armature, where the armature is provided with teeth parts (12) that are separated from each other by a slot (11). The slot runs up to the base part through the armature such that the teeth parts of the armature are bent concerning to the base part when an expanding element (13) i.e. wedge, is inserted into the slot. The teeth parts are provided with a pole shoe part (14) that is formed by spreading the armature on a pole shoe (4). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a winding element for an electric machine.
