The transducer has a sensor electronic circuit for processing signals of a signal transmitter (4) and a signal receiver (5) and producing analog, pulse width modulated or digital output signal. A gear element (3) is coupled to a shaft (1), so that rotating movement of revolutions of the shaft is converted into linear or swivel movement of the gear element. The signal transmitter and the signal receiver detect a position of the gear element. Another gear element (2) e.g. worm wheel, threaded bolt and ball threaded bolt are connected with the shaft. The signal transmitter is formed as a magnetic field generating element e.g. permanent magnet, and arranged as a linear transducer. The signal receiver is formed as a magnetic field receiver e.g. Hall sensor and magneto-resistive sensor, and arranged as a linear transducer.
