The antifriction bearing has multiple components, such as a bearing ring and rolling body. The rolling body rolls on the bearing ring. One of the components is provided at the surface with a coating. The coating consists of nickel-phosphorus-alloy, which is produced by a chemical separation procedure such that it shows the micro-fragile behavior. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a component for an antifriction bearing.
