The unit has a lower pedal travel delimiter (5) provided with a base body and a piston (7) with an accumulating surface (8) and arranged at a bearing block (1) or foot pedals (2). A pivot path for the foot pedals is limited as the foot pedals accumulate on the accumulating surface of the piston and depend upon arrangement of the base body. The pedal travel delimiter enables flexible setting of hysteresis for a force way curve of the pedals. The accumulating surface is covered with elastomer of a bearing body, and the piston is completely surrounded by the elastomer.
