The electrical feed pump (3) has an electric motor (4) which includes a stator (13) and a pump unit (5). The pump unit comprises internal gears (22), external gears (24) and a housing portion (10) of housing (8) fastened at a housing of high pressure pump. The stator is attached forcedly with an elastic element (50) at the housing portion and/or is positively secured with a holding pin (48) at the housing portion. The external gears are provided with permanent magnets so as to form a rotor of the electric motor. An independent claim is included for method for manufacturing pump assembly.
