The method involves selecting actuators (12a-12d) on a mobile terminal (20) e.g. mobile telephone, and logically assigning manual activated sensors (10a-10d) to the selected actuators. Switch-on state of the selected actuators is automatically detected by a sensor of a mobile detection device (22). The mobile detection device is connected with a building automation system (11). Confirmation about the switch-on state of the selected actuators is transmitted to the building automation system over the mobile detection device.
