The device (10) has a main body (12) comprising two ends (12a, 12b), where one of the ends is inserted into a tool holder of a computer numerical control (CNC) machine and connected with an adapter (100). Multiple gripping claws (14, 16) engage, hold and release a work-piece. The gripping claws are fixed at a rotation mechanism which rotates the gripping claws around an axis (P), where the mechanism comprises a hook and a cylinder (42). The rotation mechanism includes a piston which is provided within the main body. The axis runs perpendicular to a middle axis (C) of the holder.
