The method involves initially creating a model of a nonlinear kinematics by mathematical computations. Pilot size is determined and a controller is guided based on set point values and modulated ceramic data. The model of a crank drive is creased for kinematics of stroke movement of a shock head of a slotting machine with a diagonal guide. Rotational torque of the drive is supplied to the controller with constant speed of a motor of the crank drive as moment reference value course. The rotational torque is supplied to the controller with non-constant speed as reference value course.
