The transformation process of a workpiece (10) having a material thickness which is larger than 10 mm, is carried out with respect to a multi-part structural element such as a mandrel (20) or a die by applying pulsed electromagnetic field through a coil (100) to the workpiece. The transformed workpiece is removed from the structural element by cutting a portion of the workpiece by applying pulsed electromagnetic field.
