The plug connector (1) has a plug contact terminal designed as a joint connector with contact prongs (2) that are located at distance to each other on a common plug-plane under leaving of contact grooves (4). The prongs are formed integrally with cross bars (3, 8) from electrically conductive material i.e. spring steel, so that equal voltage potential is transferred over the prongs. A spring terminal element rests at two outer contact prongs (5) for exerting clamping force directed on the outer contact prongs of a composite of the plug connector and a mating connector (6).
