The device (1) has a measuring sensor system i.e. imaging sensor, for measuring density and homogeneity of a smoke screen (11), where components of the device are electrically connected with one another. The measuring sensor system is connected with a data processing unit, and data processing algorithms are provided for analysis of effectiveness of the smoke screen. A wind sensor and a UV sensor are merged and connected with a computer unit (3). Monitors (8, 9) are combined with the computer unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for measuring parameters of an infrared smoke screen.
