The system (10) has a user interface (11), by which a model of a vehicle to be simulated, environment objects for the vehicle, a driver assistance system of the vehicle, sensors of the assistance system and locations of the sensors in the vehicle are selected and/or input as a simulation-relevant parameter. A simulation computer (12) automatically simulates cooperation of the driver assistance system, the sensors of the driver assistance system and the vehicle according to definition of the simulation-relevant parameter. An independent claim is also included for a method for simulation of a driver assistance system by using a simulation system.
