The half-shell element (A) comprises an upper edge (1) whose length is smaller than that of the lower edge, and a hinge (4) for connecting the half-shell element with the other half-shell element, such that a movable tube element is formed. The hinge is extended in parallel with respect to a bore (20) along the longitudinal axis (L) of the half-shell element. A connector (5) is arranged at the side edge of the half-shell element. An independent claim is included for method of bending pipes such as cables or lines.
