The method involves infiltrating a liquid resin (7) of a fiber ply (5) into a mold cavity (2), and curing the infiltrated liquid resin in the mold cavity. The number of times an ultrasonic signal (15) is passed through the mold cavity during the infiltration process is measured and is compared with the predetermined reference value.
