The rotor element (1) has multiple chambers (7) formed along a periphery of a circular disk (3). Multiple magnets (11) are accommodated in the chambers. Grooves (13) are formed at edges of the chambers. Multiple elastomeric elements (15) are received in the grooves such that the elastomeric elements are provided in contact with the magnets. The elastomeric elements exert elastic pressure on the magnets to fix the magnets in the chambers. The elastomeric elements are made of fluororubber and formed as elongated cords (17). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a rotor element.
