The conveyor belt system has a measuring apparatus that comprises a temperature sensor (14) which is arranged partially parallel to longitudinal axis (18) of the supporting rollers (10) for monitoring temperature of the belt system. The temperature sensor is comprised by an optical waveguide and arranged on the surface of the supporting rollers with a preset spacing.
