The ultrasound device has an ultrasonic sonotrode (10) and a counter tool that are positioned in opposition to the welding and stamping regions of workpiece (12). Several webs and grooves are formed in the stamping region of workpiece. The spacing of webs in the workpiece is made to correspond to the spacing of webs in an anvil.
