The method involves managing contact data of number of users by a primary user. The contact data are assigned to respective transmitters (100) located at various locations. The presence of mobile terminal (130) of primary user in predetermined effective range (150) is informed to secondary user, if the contact data of secondary user are assigned to the transmitter in predetermined effective range of mobile terminal of primary user.
