The device (10) has a multi-phase transformer (11) designed for transforming a voltage on a primary line system into low voltage on a secondary line system. An adding device designed for adding supplementary voltage on lines of the secondary or the primary line system. The adding device is coupled with the transformer such that the supplementary voltage is generated for each phase of the secondary line system. A variable voltage source is configured for production of the supplementary voltage, where the variable voltage source is a converter.
