The diagnose device has a probe head (10) for introducing into a mouth space of a patient. An ultrasound unit (1) with an acoustic lens (2) and an optical unit with an optical lens (4) are arranged in the probe head. The ultrasound unit with array radiators and the optical unit with the optical lens are arranged in the probe head. Frequencies of acoustic signals of the ultrasound unit lie in a range between 50 and 70 megahertz. A curvature radius of the acoustic lens is variable. The optical lens is focused and pivoted. An independent claim is also included for a method for dental diagnose with a dental diagnose device.
