The bending tool (1) has a counter holder (4) for retaining a metallic sheet (2) to be bent, and a surface made of high-strength plastic i.e. polyethylene terephthalate, where the metallic sheet is provided in a region of the surface. A bending blade bends the metallic sheet around an edge of a slider, and a strip is provided in a region of the edge, where the strip is detachably fastened at the bending tool. The metallic sheet is clamped between a blank holder (3) and the counter holder, and the strip extends over entire width of the slider.
