The method involves attaching a rivet case (2) to a mouthpiece (1) of a setting tool. The rivet case is inserted into a rivet hole passing through two components by using the setting tool. The rivet case is pressurized with radial hydraulic pressure inside the mouthpiece of the setting tool such that the rivet case is deformed for forming a form-fit connection with the two components. Application of the rivet case with the radial pressure is completed. The mouthpiece of the setting tool is pulled from the rivet case. An independent claim is also included for a mouthpiece for a setting tool for rivets.
