The electromotor has a rotor connected to a motor shaft (4), which is supported in a housing (1) of a stator. A commutator is provided with multiple commutator segments for commutation of the rotor that is provided with windings. The commutator segments are fixed in the housing that comprises brushes contacting the respective commutator segments. A mobile sensory unit is temporarily mounted on the housing for determining a motor characteristic curve of the electromotor. An induction coil (2) is positioned as the sensory unit on an external periphery of the housing. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining a motor characteristic curve of an electromotor.
