The drive has a combustion motor (7) connected with a transfer case (8). Hydraulic pumps (9, 10) are driven with the transfer case. Two hydrostatic drive units (13, 14) are driven with the hydraulic pumps. The hydrostatic drive units are arranged at vehicle wheels (5a, 5b, 6a, 6b) of vehicle axles (3, 4). Each hydrostatic drive unit has two hydraulic motors, gear boxes i.e. spur gears, as summation gearboxes and a combined assembly with a planetary gear, a driving brake and a wheel bearing (23). The vehicle wheels are driven by the hydraulic motors.
